What is CryoPen?
CryoPen is a targeted cryotherapy treatment that uses a precise jet of extremely cold nitrous oxide to freeze and remove suitable benign skin lesions.
What is 'May my mole'?
Map My Mole is a specialist mole and skin-lesion screening service. High-quality images are taken and securely reviewed by consultant dermatologists
What can they help with?
-
Skin tags
-
Moles (after scanning)
-
Warts
-
Verrucae
-
Cherry angiomas
-
Age spots.
Your treatment?
The CryoPen directs the cold gas onto the lesion, freezing the targeted tissue. The treated area may become red or swollen and can form a blister or scab as the skin heals naturally.
Treatment time & downtime?
Approximately 20-30 minutes for whole appointment.
Map My Mole has no treatment downtime because it is an imaging and assessment service. CryoPen itself has minimal downtime, but the treated area can blister or scab and may take 1–4 weeks to fully heal, depending on the lesion and treatment.
